Anti Reality: Domination An upgraded version of map by Hotdog Design: The original design of this level was nothing like what it is now. It was going to be a map with two symmetrical areas, one frozen the other full of lava and portals connecting the two. Unfortunately, I got an 'AllocBlock Full' error and scrapped the whole thing. A week later I came back and just took the lava side of the map and remade it completely into the level it is now. The basic concept for this map was an old castle on the side of a constantly erupting volcano with the lava from the mountain flowing through the castle at various points. In most places, the lava is contained but at some point in time the containment measures failed and the lava spilled into the heart of the castle forcing the occupants to flee. This map features just a small section of the castle at the main bridge. The bridge itself was cut off long ago but what's left of its unstable structure still groans in the strong winds blowing around the mountain-side. The front features a courtyard of lava, the stone path, or what's left of it, is still reasonably safe to traverse. An old wooden bridge crosses the chasm, the orange fog masking the death below, to the lookout tower on a giant rock pillar. Follow the balcony around the side of the castle and you are met with a grisly sight. A massive lava flow has cut through the heart of the castle, leaving you isolated on this small remaining portion. You can drop down the destroyed side and get inside the castle where you can climb the towers and go into the lava filled main chamber. Cross the last remaining tiles to safely reach the other side. And remember to refresh yourself from the blistering heat in the fountain, its cool waters channeled from deep underground. Unfortunatley, this map is just a showcase map because r_speeds got out of hand and a full compile would take a week. If anyone wants to have a go at compiling this map, please do so otherwise maybe just draw ideas or whatever. This was another experimental map. I wanted to create a volumetric fog effect and see how much the engine could cope with it. Two things to remember, avoid the lava at all costs! It is painful enough for you to let out a scream or two (thanks to Quake). Also, you are in a volcanic world, whatever is down below can't be good! Have fun!
